6 cups skim milk (see pudding mix for exact measurement)
2 boxes Betty Crocker Super Moist yellow cake mix
1 cup applesauce (see cake mix for exact measurement and use in place of oil)
6 eggs (see cake mix for exact measurement)
8 oz whipped topping
Blueberries for flag

Directions
Make the vanilla pudding using skim milk, and place in the fridge to firm up.
Mix the cake mix using applesauce and eggs, and place in a rectangular pan. Bake according to the instructions.
When the cake is cool, remove from the baking pans and spread the pudding over the top of one cake (you might have extra). Carefully place the other cake on top, and then cover the top and sides with whipped topping. Use the blueberries and strawberries to make the flag's stars and stripes.
To store the cake you can place toothpicks around the top of the cake, and then gently cover with plastic wrap. The toothpicks will keep the plastic wrap from touching the whipped topping.
